Abstract
1339151 Transformers HINCHLEY ENG CO Ltd 16 Aug 1971 38338/71 Heading HIT In a transformer having first and second bobbins 1, 3 on which are respectively wound first and second windings 2, 4 said bobbins are interconnected by an insulating coupling sleeve 9 which receives at least part of each bobbin, said coupling sleeve being provided with a transverse dividing wall 10 which electrically isolates the bobbins and determines a minimum creepage distance of not less than the length of the sleeve. The distance between the surface of the windings and the edge of the side cheeks of the bobbins and the thickness of the walls of the coupling sleeve may be added to the minimum distance. Each bobbin is provided with extensions 13 which shroud a laminated core of U or I section.
