Abstract

1338995 Swimming pools UNTERWASSERELECTRIC GmbH [trading as UWE-UNTERWASSER-ELECTRIC GmbH & CO K G] 10 May 1972 [8 June 1971] 21847/72 Heading A4N [Also in Division F2] In a below water-level connection through the wall of a swimming bath, a synthetic plastics housing 2 has a flange 4 embedded in the concrete of the wall to prevent seepage, the flange having a coefficient of thermal expansion substantially the same as that of the material of the wall. Sealing gasket 5 is preferably also thermally insulations. The flange 4 may be of a metal elastic material. The flange may alternatively be glued, shrunk, welded or clamped to the housing. In use, a water jet is directed through the housing. To prevent concrete from entering the housing during pouring, a temporary soft plastics lid 9 is provided.
