1338447 Dental dowel pins R SAUTER 19 April 1971 [3 April 1970] 25732/71 Heading A5R A dowel pin for use in making a model of a tooth stump comprises a frusto-conical base part 1 with a longitudinal bevel 2 on one side; a cylindrical, coaxial pin head 3 at the wider end of the base part 1 and of a smellar diameter than that end; and a cylindrical, coaxial holding pin 5 at the free end of the pin head 3. The holding pin 5 has a smaller diameter than the pin head 3 and may have a coarse thread 6 or a knurled surface, and longitudinal bevels (8), Fig. 3 (not shown), or longitudinal notches (9), Fig. 4 (not shown). The sections 3, 5 are connected by a frangible neck 7. The pin head 3 may have a knurled surface 4.
