1335791 Blow-moulding multilayered bottles MITSUI PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 30 March 1972 [3 April 1971 12 Nov 1971 29 Feb 1972] 15114/72 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] A blow-moulded bottle comprises at least one polyamide layer and at least one layer of a polyolefine to which has been grafted an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or an ester, amide, imide, or metal salt thereof. Maleic anhydride or acrylic acid are preferred graft monomers, and, in addition, styrene may be grafted to the polyolefin. The materials for the layers are extruded through concentric orifices so as to form concentric tubes which are bonded together and then blown. Preferably the two layers are coalesced within the die.
