Abstract

1335341 Contact units for switches PLESSEY CO Ltd 28 Oct 1970 [28 Oct 1969 5 June 1970] 52712/69 and 27233/70 Heading H1N A sealed magnetic reed contact unit has an armature 13 mounted on an insulated cantilever 10 and arranged on magnetization to bridge aligned magnetic members 1, 2. The members 1, 2 are shaped to concentrate flux in the area of the armature and the space between them is filled by a brass piece 3. The cantilever 10 is sealed by a glass to metal seal 7 within a tube 4 having a stainless steel aligning ring 8. The armature 13 acts as a contact co-operating with the member 1, 2 acting as a divided contact.
