Abstract

1335122 Suspended ceilings R O N D O BUILDING SERVICES PTY Ltd 5 Feb 1971 4001/71 Heading E1W Ceiling panels 10 with edge slots 34 are fixed by the engagement of an upwarly stepped flange 33 of an elongate framing member 26 in one of the edge slots, The framing member 26 extends across the width of the ceiling and has a downwardly opening undercut channel 36 into which is slidably engaged one end 39 of a shorter element 40 which engages the opposite edge slot of an adjacent panel. The shorter element 40 may be slid aside to release a single panel from the complete ceiling. The framing members 26 are supported from main ceiling runners 23 by means of a clip, Fig. 3, which is U-shaped and engages in the downwardly open channel 24 of the runner. The runners are suspended from the main ceiling by means of vertically adjustable hangers 12 which are longitudinally slidable along the runners.
