Abstract
1334900 Multiplex pulse code signalling SIEMENS AG 3 Nov 1971 [2 Dec 1970] 51013/71 Addition to 1306626 Heading H4L The system disclosed in the parent Specification is modified to ensure adequate synchronization. In that system the prevailing polarity (0 or 1) of the modulation state of the input signal is transmitted between the pulse groups so that during these periods bit synchronization could be lost. In order to avoid this a particular combination of bits is assigned to each state. For example, the group 001 may be repetitively transmitted for one modulation state and group 110 for the other, providing sufficient polarity changes to ensure bit synchronization.
