1334884 Aminoalcohols and ketones SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 2 Dec 1971 [9 Dec 1970 18 Dec 1970 9 March 1971] 56054/71 Heading C2C Aminoalcohols, and ketones are prepared by the following route and may be isolated in the form of a salt (R<SP>1</SP> = H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-3 alkoxy, CF 3 ; R<SP>2</SP> = H, halogen, C 1-3 alkoxy, NH 2 ; R<SP>3</SP> = H, alkyl, Ph, PhCH 2 ; R<SP>4</SP> = alkyl, cycloalkyl, Ph, halophenyl,CH(R<SP>6</SP>)(CH 2 ) m XPhR<SP>5</SP>;R<SP>5</SP> = H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-3 alkoxy, CF 3 ; R<SP>6</SP> = H, C 1-3 alkyl, Ph; X = O, S or direct link; m = 0-3; n = 0-4). The aminoalcohols and their salts are novel and are central and peripheral nervous system depressants, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
