1333561 Mounting brake discs on shafts; brake discs GIRLING Ltd 11 Jan 1971 [13 Jan 1970] 1514/70 Headings F2E and F2U An annular rotor 12 for a disc broke (e.g. with braking surfaces 14 and vanes 15 for air cooling) is connected (e.g. by bolts 19) at spaced locations 18 to a hollow part 16 (e.g. of top hat shape having holes 17 for attachment to a shaft) arranged between the locations (e.g. by having axially extending flutes 20 or ribs) to flex so that the locations can move apart due to thermal expansion of the rotor 12.
