Abstract

1333333 Pipe brackets A P V Co Ltd 1 March 1972 [22 April 1971] 10851/71 Heading A4B [Also in Division E2] A pipe support fitting comprises a generally- U-shaped resilient saddle element 1 adapted to embrace a pipe to be supported, an element for closing the mouth of the saddle element and means for clamping the closing element on to the saddle element, the saddle element preferably having undulations 2 to form bearing members lightly holding the pipe in position by the inherent resilience of the material. In the construction shown the saddle element 1 has its ends turned over to form locating channels 5 with which hooks 6 at the ends of the closing element engage; the clamping means is a screw 8 which passes through a threaded bore in a nut 7 welded to the closing element, the tip of the screw engaging the pipe when it is in position in the saddle element to clamp the pipe and the closing element to the saddle element. The saddle element has a base 3 provided with screw holes by which it may be attached to a support, or a wall or the like.
