Abstract

1332320 Electro-photography SPERRY RAND CORP 30 Dec 1970 [23 Jan 1970] 61717/70 Heading G2H The charged photo-conductive surface 11 of a rotary drum is exposed to light from a cathode ray tube 19 to form a charge pattern representative of time-amplitude variations of a signal and the pattern is developed to form a visual image which is projected for the purpose of an optical processing operation, e.g. with a laser source 27. Projection may be from the imaging surface 11 (as shown) or from a receiver surface (after transfer, Figs.2 and 3) in the form of an endless transparent band for projection by transmission of light.
