Abstract

1331501 Ceiling roses ASHLEY ACCESSORIES Ltd 13 May 1971 [16 May 1970] 23806/70 Heading H2E An electrical device, e.g. a ceiling rose, comprises a moulded base 10 with a recess 11 to hold terminal blocks (12a, 13a, 14a, Fig. 5, not shown) and a retaining cover for the blocks. The cover is of L-shaped cross-section, with resilient limbs 20, 21, and has hooks 25, 28 which respectively clip in slots 30, 31 in the base. Limb 21 has holes 26 which allow access to terminal screws 27, and openings such as 23 in limb 20 are aligned with wiring holes in the blocks, which are separated by ribs 15 on the base 10 and by partitions on the cover. The base houses a T-shaped earth terminal 16, adjacent to a moulded arch 18, and also a strain terminal 19 of similar form, both being held in place by screws 17. A screw-on cover 34 for the whole device may have a rib 33 to support the terminal cover 20, 21.
