Abstract

1331027 Wrapper MASCHINENFABRIK FR NIEPMANN & CO 25 July 1972 [28 Dec 1971] 34655/72 Heading B8C A wrapper for a block of cigarettes has side flaps 4c, 4d extending obliquely to the side edges of the wrapper, the flaps at each side overlapping along a narrow strip which, adjacent closure flaps 4e, lies against an end cigarette in an outer layer of the block. The block includes an inner layer of cigarettes staggered with respect to the outer layer. The wrapper is cut by a cutter roller from a foil strip and is skewed by a pair of rollers driven at the same angular speed but having different circumferences, the rollers feeding the wrapper to the folding mechanism. The blade on the cutter roller may cut the wrapper along a line 4f parallel to the fold line 4g.
