Abstract

1330497 Sawtooth wave generators COURTAULDS Ltd 19 April 1971 [27 Feb 1970] 9671/70 Heading H3P [Also in Division G4] An integrator for producing an electrical signal, the voltage of which changes at a constant rate for a period immediately after a period during which it is constant, comprising a first amplifier A 1 having a capacitor C connected between its output and a first input 1, the second input 2 thereof being held at a reference potential, e.g. earth, a second amplifier A 2 one of whose inputs 4 is connected to the output 3 of amplifier A 1 , the other input 5 being held at a second reference potential, which may be provided by a potentiometer VR 1 , and a switch S which can connect the output 6 of amplifier A 2 through a resistor R 1 to the first input 1 of amplifier A 1 , a constant potential E c being applied via a resistor R 2 and the output potential E 0 being taken from the output 3 of amplifier A 1 . The output is constant while the switch S is closed and changes at a constant rate after the switch is opened.
