Abstract
1328317 Carton ASPRO-NICHOLAS Ltd 11 Aug 1972 [27 Aug 1971] 40246/71 Heading B8P A carton erected from a blank, Fig. 1, comprises a tubular body closable at both ends by end closure flaps and formed by panels 1 and 14 so as to have a rhombic cross-sectioned bottom end and a top end with a cross-sectional shape bounded by two curves 2, 2<SP>1</SP>. The tubular body tapers in front-to-back depth from its bottom to its top end and tapers in width from its top to its bottom end. A top closure flap 3 may be secured in its closed condition overlying a flap 18 by a winged tab 4 or other tab hinged to the flap 3 engaging in a triangular cut-out 15 or aperture in the panel 14 or in a slot extending along the curved hinge line 2<SP>1</SP> The bottom closure may comprise flaps 6, 10 and 16, a tab 8 on the flap 8 being engagable in an opening defined by recesses 11 and 17 in the flaps 10 and 16. In another embodiment a bottom closure flap is provided on each side of the rhombic bottom, three of the flaps defining a central opening into which a tab on the fourth flap engages.
