Abstract

1327238 Releasable fastenings WILH FRANK GmbH 15 Dec 1970 [16 Dec 1969] 59405/70 Heading E2A A gear mechanism for a window or door fitting comprises a gear housing consisting of two similar halves 1, 2, a driving member, such as a pinion 7, mounted to rotate therein and a coupling and sliding member 12 guided in the housing and reciprocated by rotation of the pinion. The member 12 is provided with means, e.g. pins 22, 23, for securing to a push member of the window or door fitting and the two halves of the housing are mounted face to face, a half of a guide 15 or 16 for the member 12 being formed of each housing half. As shown, the housing halves are secured together by rivets 5 and spacers 4 and the teeth 10 of the pinion 7 engagine in rectangular apertures 11 of the member 12. The guide rail-halves 15, 16 form a dove-tail-shaped guide in cross-section, the member 12 being correspondingly shaped, and have stops 18, 19 which limit movement of the member. The pins 22, 23 engage in holes and slots in a push or pull member.
