Abstract

Couplings. - A clamping-deviee for electrically connecting the supply and branch wires in conduit boxes consist of an insulating-block A having a C-shaped channel passing through it in which is fitted a metal clamp comprising a metal jaw B and a clamping-screw C which passes through a hole in the block into the jaw. A short length of insulation is removed from the uncut supply wire, the connecting-wire is wrapped round the bared supply wire, and the wires fitted into the metal jaw from the side are clamped together by the screw.
