Abstract

1326524 Endless conveyers; packaging MARDON SON & HALL Ltd 13 March 1972 [1 May 1971] 12591/71 Headings B8A and B8C Pairs of articles 17 conveyed on an endless conveyer 10 are transferred on to packaging blanks 16 on an endless conveyer 11 by an endless conveyer 12 disposed between the conveyers 10, 12 and an inverted channel shaped guideway 14 disposed above the conveyers 10, 11, 12 to engage the upper extremities of the articles and arranged to be inclined across the conveyers. The conveyers 10, 11, 12 are driven synchronously and have flights 15 to engage the articles. The blank 16 is successively folded around the pairs of articles by known means as it advances along the conveyer 12. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 5 (not shown), one side wall of the channel is omitted.
