Abstract

1324290 Article feeding apparatus STOLLE CORP 27 Aug 1971 [29 Oct 1970] 40317/71 Heading B8A Apparatus for intermittently feeding a series of articles in succession to a plurality of operating stations comprises a non-stretch belt 10 having a series of equally spaced articlereceiving apertures 11 of a shape to fit the articles (e.g. beverage cans) and a drum 12 about which the belt passes the drum having on its periphery a plurality of equally spaced dividing plugs 15 of a thickness at least equal to the thickness of the belt, and snugly fitting into the apertures, the edges of the plugs being profiled to enter and leave the apertures without interference, at least one plug being in full engagement with a belt aperture at all times. Two drums are used in the preferred embodiment, an intermittently driven drum and an idle drum.
