1323838 Making plastics bags CANADIAN INDUSTRIES Ltd 4 Aug 1971 [28 Aug 1970] 36627/71 Heading B5D [Also in Division B8K] A bag made of heat sealable plastics film, such as polyethylene, and comprising front and rear walls 10, 11 and a band 16 covering perforations in the front wall may be made by folding a web at 12 so that the rear wall projects at 15, feeding the strip 16 from a supply roll to coincide with the top edge of the front wall and heat sealing and cutting the web and strip transversely to form individual bags. If the strip 16 is to lie between the front and rear walls or across the outer face of the rear wall the strip is fed and guided accordingly. The bottom of the bag may be gussetted.
