Abstract

1322972 Radiator stoves ETABS FAURE & CIE SA 3 July 1970 [4 July 1969 26 Jan 1970] 32459/70 Heading F4W In a radiator stove having a burner 5 within a casing 1, the waste gases are passed through a catalytic unit comprising a brick 12 with a number of parallel passages, activated by a catalytic metal deposit. The brick 12 may be replaced by an asbestos fabric impregnated with catalyst metal or by an assembly of baffles coated with a porous enamel having catalytic properties. In a modification, the gases from the burner pass round internal baffles to two outlets at the lower part of the casing. The air inlet to the stove is covered by a flame retarding grid 3, an d the stove is controlled by an atmosphere sensitive device to extinguish the burner when the CO 2 content of the room in which it is placed reaches a predetermined level.
