Abstract

1322679 Automatic weighing and dispensing WILLIAMSON MAGOR AND CO Ltd 22 May 1972 [22 May 19711 23945/72 Heading G1W Apparatus for automatically dispensing predetermined weights of material comprises a container 1 rotatably mounted on a spring balance 8. Material continually falls from a hopper into an uppermost compartment 2 which is held in position by a plunger 12 until its weight causes a pointer 17 to close a micro-switch 16 placed in a predetermined position. This completes an electric circuit causing the plunger 12 to be withdrawn thereby allowing the compartment 2 to rotate under gravity so as to dispense the material. As the weight on the balance decreases, the switch 16 opens so as to hold the compartment now uppermost in position. A revolution counter 18 allows the total weight of material dispensed to be calculated.
