Abstract
1321675 Refrigerating RANK ORGANISATION Ltd 15 Sept 1971 [16 Sept 1970] 44106/70 Headings F1R R3A3D4X R94 and R3A3D10 A cryogenic cooling device incorporates a closed liquid gas storage vessel 1 fitted with a pressure relief valve 9, a cryogenic chamber 2 arranged to contain an article 3 to be cooled, a transfer passage 4, a float valve 5 operative to close an exhaust passage 6 at a given level of liquid in the chamber 2, a heat sink 7 in heat exchanging relationship with the transfer passage 4, and a by-pass passage 10 leading from a point above the liquid and having a shut-off valve 11. At the end of each period of use the device is put out of action by opening the valve 11 to allow dry gas to pass through chamber 2 to clear out any moisture which may have collected in it.
