Abstract

1321397 Open end spinning FRIED KRUPP GmbH 22 Feb 1972 [23 Feb 1971] 8131/72 Headings DID and D1N An open end spinning machine comprises a conical opening roller 4 arranged coaxially with spinning rotor 22, the opening roller 4 being axially adjustable to vary the cross-section of the fibre transport channel whilst the machine is running and being movable a greater axial distance to a service position (Fig. 2 not shown). As shown, fibres are opened by conical roller 4 and delivered downwardly directly to the spinning rotor 5. The axial position of the roller 4 is adjustable by eccentric cam 20. The opening roller 4 and the spinning rotor 22 can be moved downwardly and be separated by moving handle 7. Simultaneously, roller 15 disengages the drive from the opening roller.
