Abstract

1321182 Piecing arrangements MAREMONT CORP 18 Aug 1971 [10 Sept 1970] 38829/71 Heading DID A piecing carriage is mounted on a spinning frame by a track 36 and is stabilised by a rail 38 above the creel elevation of the machine. The track is at about spindle rail elevation and both the track 36 and the rail 38 extend along both sides and around one end of the machine. One piecing unit may have an open centre section containing extensible servicing mechanisms. One power supply to the carriage can be carried by the overhead rail. The mast section 56 may contain a compressed air reservoir for the piecing mechanisms.
