Abstract
1321178 Spray carburettors DAIMLER - BENZ AG 29 Oct 1971 [ 5 Nov 1970] 50390/71 Heading F1B Carburettor has a radially-aligned fuel or fuelair mixture outlet 18 which opens into the bore of a secondary Venturi 10 concentrically disposed in the choke tube, and a radial air duct 25 which opens into the bore of the secondary Venturi at a point between the outlet 18 and the downstream end of the secondary Venturi. The air issuing from the duct 25 impinges on the mixture and finely atomizes the fuel so that the engine runs steadily on a mixture which has been made leaner than usual in order to reduce pollutants in the exhaust gases.
