Abstract

1318732 Steam reforming catalysts BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 20 Aug 1970 [21 Aug 1969] 40107/70 Heading B1E [Also in Division C5] A catalyst is obtained by impregnating a shaped article comprising NiAl 2 O 4 in a matrix of α-Al 2 O 3 , with a solution or melt of a Ni compound, said shaped article having been produced by calcination at 1200-1500‹C of nickel oxide, α,Al 2 O 3 and activated Al 2 O 3 and being devoid of silicic acid and cement. The nickel for impregnating the article may be in the form of a cone salt solution or an ammoniacal salt solution. The activated alumina may be boehmite.
