Abstract
1318296 Endless conveyers SPUHL AG 21 Aug 1970 [19 March 1970] 40311/70 Heading B8A In a production line, wire springs 25 are fed stepwise by two opposing belts 29 (only one shown) and are oriented such that joints 72 of the springs are positioned on a centre line 123. Means for raising the joints 72 to the line 123 comprises a slider 136 vertically movable by a pneumatic cylinder 131. In the region of the slider, the springs are guided by an upper strip 115 and a lower strip 139. When the belts 29 are at rest, the slider 136 is raised and its upper edge engages the joint 72 of the middle spring which is thus correctly orientated, Fig. 3 (not shown). After lowering the slider to the shown position the belts are advanced to commence an orienting cycle on the next spring. There may be a slider 136 associated with the other belt 29, for engaging the joints 72 at the other ends of the springs.
