Abstract
1317968 Rolling dough SIMON-VICARS Ltd 26 Oct 1971 [12 Nov 1970 (2)] 53816/70 and 53819/70 Heading B5A Dough, e.g. for biscuits, is fed from sheeting rolls 12 to pairs of gauge rolls 14 in a downwardly inclined direction by rotating drums 16 and PTFE covered plates 17. The sheet is carried away by conveyer 18 through cutter 19 and scrap remover 20 towards an oven. The scrap is returned to feed hopper 10 by conveyer 21. Drums 16 may be electrically heated and driven more slowly than the preceding rolls 14 to allow for elastic recovery.
