Abstract
1317849 Electroless plating of propylene polymers CROWN CITY PLATING CO 25 Oct 1971 49498/71 Heading C7F [Also in Division C3] Prior to electroless plating with e. g. Cu or Ni, a propylene polymer is conditioned with an amine of the formula <SP>R1</SP># R2 >N-R 3 where R 1 and R 2 are each an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R 3 is a hydrogen atom or an organic radical, and then contacted with an oxidising acid, e.g. sulphuric or chromic acid or a mixture thereof, the chromic acid may, contain oxalic acid. The surface may be contacted with stannous and palladium chlorides before plating.
