1317502 Diepoxides CIBA-GEIGY AG 19 April 1971 [12 Jan 1971] 21648/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises diepoxides of the general Formula (I): where R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen or methyl, R<SP>11</SP> and R<SP>111</SP> are either both hydrogen or together form a methylene group, X and X<SP>1</SP>, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen, C 1 to C 4 alkyl, or together form a dimethylene or trimethylene group, Z is a C 1 to C 10 alkylene group or a phenylene group, and n is 1 or 2. They may be prepared by reacting a compound of the Formula (II): with an epoxidizing agent. The compounds of the invention may be used to form curable mixtures.
