Abstract

1317398 Portable containers; packages; bags; load-handling pallets, skips W KRAUSE 15 April 1971 9463/71 Headings B8C, B8D, B8H and B8K] A container for transportation on a rectangular pallet 1 is made of pliable material and comprises square end members 3 and 4 stitched, bonded, or otherwise secured to a central body part 2, the lengths of the end members each being a quarter of the circumference of the body part, such that when the container is filled with a fluent material the body part assumes a substantially cylindrical form but the end members remain square. The diameter of the container body part is equal approximately to the width of the pallet. The body part may be formed from a seamless plastics or textile hose or made from one or more textile webs joined by stitching along seams 2<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 4 (not shown). Draw-string-closed outlets 5 and 6 are provided in the ends, and the lower outlet may be covered over by a flap. Side loops 7a and 7b provided along the top end member sides facilitate lifting by a fork lift truck.
