Abstract

1316745 Double belt moulding press M A E RHIANDO 10 July 1970 [10 April 1969(3)] 35047/70 35048/70 and 35049/70 Divided out of 1316744 Heading B5A A conveyer press for the moulding of sheet material comprises endless belts 16, 18 with rows 12, 14 of rollers carried by frames which maintain pressure on the material as it passes between adjacent belt runs. The material may be conveyed by a further belt 36 which transports the material in mould cavities as described in Specification 1,316,744. The upper roller frame is vertically adjustable relative the lower one. Each belt comprises linked elongated metal plates 22 of sufficient width to be in contact with at least two rollers of a frame at any one time. Instead of the rollers extending the whole transverse width of the belts they may comprise staggered rows (Fig. 6, not shown). Each belt may comprise plates 22 attached at their extremities to links 54, Fig. 4, of endless driven chains 56; the plates may be tongued and grooved along their lengths so that gaps do not appear between them.
