Abstract
1315888 Pyrazolo phosphorus esters BAYER AG 7 Dec 1971 [8 Dec 1970 18 Jan 1971] 56808/71 Headings C2P and C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula (wherein R is C 1-6 alkyl, R 1 is C 1-6 alkyl or C 1-6 alkoxy, R 2 and R 3 are each C 1-4 alkyl and Y is O or S) and their preparation by reacting a compound of formula (RO)(R 1 )P(:Y)(Hal) (where Hal is halogen) with an appropriate 1- alkyl - 3 - hydroxy - 4 - cyano - 5 - alkoxypyrazole in the form of a salt or in the presence of an acid-binding agent. 1 - Methyl - 3 - hydroxy - 4 - cyano - 5 - alkoxypyrazoles (wherein the alkoxy group is OMe, OEt or OPrl) are prepared by reacting methylhydrazine with methyl 2-cyano-3-alkoxy-3-methylthio-acrylates which are themselves prepared by reacting dimethyl sulphate with methyl 2-cyano- 3 - alkoxy - 3 - (sodium sulphido) - acrylates which are inturn prepared by reacting methyl cyanoacetate with S-methyl O-alkyl dithiocarbonates. The compounds of Formula (I) are said to be insecticides, acaricides, rodenticides and fungicides, and may be made up with carriers or diluents into compositions.
