1315811 Oscillating- vane mechanisms DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 27 May 1970 [29 May 1969J 27261/69 Heading F1F An hydraulic or pneumatic oscillating vane device comprises a pair of fixed end plates 1, 2 and a hinged vane 9 oscillatable between the end plates by the alternate supply and exhaust of fluid to and from at least one wedge-shaped pouch 21 disposed between the hinged vane and one of the end plates. As shown, there are pouches 21 on both sides of the plate 9, hose connection 21, 22 being provided for admitting fluid to the pouches on one side while exhausting fluid from the pouches on the other side. A valve,(not shown), for changing over the hose connections to produce continuous reciprocation is provided. If pouches are provided on only one side of the plate, a spring is disposed on the other side, to urge the pouches to their collapsed condition, as determined by stops 24, 25.
