Abstract
131,566. Router, T. April 15, 1919. Tanks.-Tanks for vehicles, aircraft, and ships, and other receptacles are constructed from metal sheeting provided with a series of reinforcing ribs consisting of pleats or folds 2, Fig. 2, turned over parallel to the plane of the sheet. The edges of the sheet may be previously slotted at 22, 23, Fig. 5, so as to leave continuous edges of a single thickness after the formation of the folds. The folds may serve to support internal fittings such as ties 4, Fig. 3, and partitions or baffles 9.
