Abstract

1312067 S.G. iron INDUCTOTHERM LINEMELT CORP 11 May 1970 [15 Sept 1969] 22687/70 Heading C7D Fading of magnesium-treated iron is retarded by holding it under a non-oxidizing atmosphere with no more agitation than is necessary to maintain a uniform temperature. The metal may be contained in a channel induction furnace under an inert or reducing atmosphere which may be under super-atmospheric pressure. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1208332.
