Abstract

1311367 Protecting guards; luggage racks F Y WORKMAN 8 Sept 1970 42954/70 Addition to 1278061 Headings B7B and B7J A telescopic frame forming an internal barrier for a vehicle or a luggage rack for mounting on a vehicle roof or boot has a rigid outer tube 10 and a rigid inner tube 12 slidable in the tube 10. A sleeve 20 of rubber or resilient plastics material frictionally retained on the tube 10 grips the tube 12. A plug 24 having an enlarged head 26 frictionally engages the inner surface of the tube 10. The tube 12 can be telescoped within the tube 10 against the frictional engagement of the sleeve 20 and plug 24. A plug 16 may be fitted in the outer end of tube 12 to protect the inside of a vehicle body when the frame is used internally.
