Abstract

1310699 Dozer blade mounting CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 18 June 1970 [7 July 1969] 29581/70 Heading E1F A bulldozer blade is mounted on a vehicle C-frame by a universal joint, e.g., a ball joint 24, by two double-acting hydraulic jacks, e.g., jacks 26, 27, operated in unison to adjust blade pitch and in opposition to adjust blade angle, and by means for stabilising the blade. The stabilising means preferably comprises a hydraulic jack 43, connected to blade 11 and to C-frame 13 via frame 42, which serves both to stabilise the blade and to adjust blade tilt about joint 24. Hydraulic lift jacks 18, 19 serve to pivot frame 13 on the vehicle. A resilient stop block 41, secured to frame 42, provides an abutment for the blade in its vertical position.
