Abstract

1308907 Hand trolleys THORNBEKS BROS Ltd P L D KITCHEN R E THORNBER J GREGORY and J HARRISON 20 March 1970 [20 March 1969] 14745/69 Heading B7B A hand trolley for carrying stacks of trays containing, e.g. eggs, comprises a sheet-metal panel 12 on a wheeled base 10, and four sheetmetal strips 14, 15, connected to each side of the panel and defining six tray-receiving spaces, the panel having hooks 18 for engaging some of the trays. Clamping members comprising transverse arms 19 and longitudinal rods 21 are pivoted to the upper end of the panel and are held in the clamping position by a spring pressed latches 22. In a modified trolley, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), the panel and strips are replaced by a tubular framework, and bars respectively, and the pivotable clamping members are retained in their clamping position by spring- pressed pins engaging holes in the bars.
