Abstract

1308879 Inductors FERGUSON TRANSFORMERS PTY Ltd 5 Oct 1971 [6 Oct 1970] 46282/71 Heading H1T An electric choke unit comprises a choke 4 having a core 9 between the laminations of which is secured a plate 15 mounting ancillary equipment, e.g. a fuse holder 17, terminal blocks 18, 19, an earth terminal (21), (Fig. 3, not shown), and a capacitor 22. The core 9 is secured by brackets 8 to the lower housing part 2 which is filled with an epoxy resin sealing compound, and to which the upper housing part 3 is releasably secured. A mounting bracket 11 and cable inlets 13 are provided. The housing parts may be spun from aluminium and have a sealing ring 7 interposed between them. The choke may be provided with tappings for use with different power voltages.
