Abstract

1306684 Valves BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDERS CABLES Ltd 19 April 1970 [13 Feb 1970] 7124/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division H2] In a joint in a pipe cable installation a valve structure 7 extends between an inner cylindrical body 5 and an outer cylindrical enclosure 6, and comprises apertures 24 in arotatable annular body 9 which may be brought into alignment or misalignment with apertures 23 in fixed annular bodies 8. The rotation of body 9 is adjusted by a handle 11 which extends through a slot (25) (Fig. 3, not shown) in a collar 10. 0-ring seals make a fluid tight seal between fixed bodies 8 and the rotable body 9, and between the bodies 8, 9 and an annular saddle 26 carried by the inner enclosure 5.
