Abstract

1305545 Vehicle doors SMITHS ELECTRIC VEHICLES Ltd 29 April 1970 [29 April 1969] 21828/69 Heading B7B A vehicle has a cab or compartment provided with a doorway and a door comprising a flexible roller-mounted member the roller of which is disposed at one side of the doorway. The roller-mounted member is in the form of a shutter 14 having a window 16 of transparent flexible material, and a rigid bar 18 is provided to stiffen the free edge of the shutter 14. A handle 20 also contains a hook element (not shown) to engage a slot 28 in a post of the doorway. A spring tends to wind the shutter on to its roller. The bar 18 has projections which engage angle members at the top and bottom of the doorway for holding and guiding the shutter 14.
