As shown a tandem master cylinder 1 is provided supplying fluid in one circuit 2 to wheel cylinders 3, 4 of front wheel disc brakes 8, 9 and in a second circuit 5 to further wheel cylinders 6, 7 of disc brakes 8, 9 and to wheel cylinders 15, 16 of rear wheel drum brakes 17, 18.
