Abstract
1304182 I.C. intake air filter AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO Ltd 15 June 1970 [18 June 1969] 30794/69 Heading BIT [Also inDivision F1] A filter for an I.C. engine has a plurality of outlets 22 each of which is for connection to a corresponding one of a number of separate air intakes of an internal combustion engine. The filter comprises a two-part casing 10, 12 the lower part of the casing forming a support structure 11 which carries one or more filter elements 20 of the paper type. There is a single intake 26 and a pair of outlets 22 associated with each filter element. The outlets have their centres on a common straight line (23) (Fig. 1 not shown) which makes an acute angle with the longitudinal axis of the tray, this acute angle being less than the angle made by the diagonal with that axis. The casing is held together by bolts 31 the heads of which are affixed to support 11 and which make contact with nuts 34 preferably rotatably affixed in the top of the casing.
