Abstract
1302419 Transformers WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 12 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 28557/70 Heading HIT The ends of the laminations forming the centre leg 18 of a core, e.g. for a polyphase transformer, are in the form of truncated isosceles triangles penetrating into notches in the yoke (aminations 20, 22, the joints in adjacent layers being relatively stepped, there being at least three steps in the same direction before reversal the inner leg laminations may all be the same length. The joints between the yoke and outer leg laminations 14, 16 are mitred and also stopped. Each yoke lamination may be made in two parts, a truncated triangle and a parallelogram which is notched to receive the centre leg.
