1300715 Rotary swaging machines TALLINSKY ELEKTROTEKHNICHESKY ZAVOD IMENI MI KALININA GLAVPOCHTAMT TALLIN 1 June 1971 18329/71 Heading B3H A working head of a rotary swaging machine comprises a set of strikers 2 slidable radially in a rotor 1a of an arbor 1 and a set of taper rollers 4 freely rotatable on axles 7 mounted in a casing 3 coaxial with the rotor. The casing is reciprocated axially as the rotor is rotated by a kinematic drive linkage. The linkage comprises a gear 8 mounted on the arbor and driving a freely rotatable gear 11 on the casing through gears 9, 10. The gears 8, 11 have opposed cams 12, 13 urged together by a spring 14 so that relative rotation of the gears 8, 11 causes the casing to reciprocate. The casing is prevented from rotating in its housing 5 by keys (6), Fig. 2 (not shown). The arbor is driven from an electric motor by belting engaged with a flywheel 17. The strikers 2 have dampers (16) to reduce the noise.
