Abstract

1300713 Torque wrenches TONICHI MFG CO Ltd 28 May 1971 [26 Oct 1970] 17902/71 Heading B3N A torque wrench in combination with a nutrunner incorporates a ratchet 7 operable manually and by a power source 1, whereby the ratchet may be driven at a high speed, but with a low output torque by said power source, for running down of a fastener 11, secure fastening of the fastener being possible by subsequent manual operation of the torque wrench to a predetermined torque. The torque wrench may be as shown or take the form of a beam type with a scale whilst the power source may be an air motor controlled by valve 5 or an electric motor. The motor drives the rachet 7 via a planetary gear 2 and a clutch 3.
