1299681 Resilient mountings GETEFO GES FUR TECHNISCHE FORTSCHRITT mbH 8 Jan 1971 [17 April 1970] 1013/71 Heading F2S A resilient mounting consists of two metal channel section members 3, 4 with a body 1 of rubber between their bases and blocks 2a, 2b of rubber of a different depth and different hardness from the body 1 between their limbs. The relative hardness is chosen such that G 1 : L 1 = G 2 : L 2 where G is the modulus of elasticity in shear. The blocks 2a, 2b are therefore made of softer rubber than the body 1. The metal members 3, 4 of the assembled mounting may be coldformed to apply a compressive pre-loading to the rubber blocks 2a, 2b.
