Abstract

1299611 Braiding-machines BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDERS CABLES Ltd 24 Sept 1970 [26 June 1969] 32367/69 Heading D1C The machine comprises several -4N+2 where N is a positive interger-endless tracks each enclosing eccentrically the braiding axis 1. The bobbins move along one set of tracks 3 in one direction and along the other 5 in the opposite direction, and all pass along a part 6 of their tracks which is inside all the others. Each track is provided with at least one arcuate carrier 12 for at least one bobbin. The carriers are guided by rollers 17 and rails 18 and driven by sprockets 23, 25 engaging a rack which is long enough to be in engagement with at least one of them. The sets of sprockets are driven in opposite directions, one of each set being mounted coaxially at track intersections close to the axis.
